CRPA CALLS ON ATTORNEY GENERAL BONTA TO RESIGN

Even during our Countdown to Hope this past spring, our optimism about the opinion we hoped for (and got) from the Supreme Court was somewhat tempered.  There are still volumes of now-unconstitutional laws to repeal and much work ahead.  But even more daunting a task was trying to anticipate what the anti-2A crew would cook up to fight back.

We knew the reaction would be fierce, but who could imagine the events of this week?  As you all know by now, the Department of Justice, under the “leadership” of noted gun control advocate Rob Bonta, exposed the personally identifying information of all CCW holders in the state.

CRPA President & General Counsel Chuck Michel issued a statement on behalf of the organization condemning the leak as “a privacy breach of stunning proportions”.  Michel also appeared with Dana Loesch and with Cam Edwards this week to talk about the potential danger that could befall those whose information was released.

“There’s going to be blood on the Attorney General’s hands over this,” Michel told Loesch on her show today.  “Violent conflict has been set up by this data breach.”

Victims of this unconscionable release of information include judges, law enforcement, and rape and domestic violence survivors seeking to keep their location hidden from their attackers.  The Attorney General has now put all of them in harm’s way.

If you are impacted by this data breach of sensitive personal and confidential information and are interested in serving as a plaintiff in a potential lawsuit, please contact us at either potentialplaintiffs@michellawyers.com or helpdesk@michellawyers.com.
