California Senator Alex Padilla before becoming the U.S. Senator to replace Kamala Harris was the Secretary of State for California. He had as his responsibility of Secretary of State to certify the 2020 Presidential Election for the state of California and then certify the 55 Electoral Votes for the Electoral College where on January 6, 2021 Vice President Mike Pence would count the Electoral Votes from all the states.
In Early December Paul Preston and New California State filed suit against Alex Padilla as Secretary of State and Governor Gaven Newsom over voter irregularities and false vote countds and certifications by various counties of the state. During discovery it was found that Alex Padillia never signed the Certification of the 2020 Presidential Election which was his mandatory responsibility. As it turned out it was Shirley Weber Padilla's replacement who who signed the certification of the 2020 Presidential Election on April 7, 2021.
The Governor of Pennsylvania at the time was Tom Wolf.
