17,000 Truck Driver Off the Road! Issued Illegal Trucker's Licenses in Gavin Newsom's CA

Gavin Newsom is cosplaying as president again, jetting off to Belém, Brazil, for the UN COP30 climate summit, where he signed a deal Tuesday with Nigeria to “fight pollution.” How that helps solve the homelessness, crime, and affordability crises in the Golden State is anyone’s guess, and one can’t help but wonder if his negotiations touched on the ongoing killing of Christians in the African country."
But what’s going on in his own state of California? Turns out the one-party cabal has been handing out commercial driver’s licenses to illegal aliens like they’re candy.
On Tuesday, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said enough is enough.
Democrats gave CDLs to foreigners who don’t speak English or understand our road signs who now drive massive trucks on our roads.
Newsom was caught red-handed, Duffy said:
The Biden-era sanctuary state policies in California foisted on the state and Americans by Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom have once again collided with federal law — this time on America's highways.The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has admitted to illegally issuing 17,000 commercial driver's licenses (CDLs) to foreign nationals who were not legally eligible to hold them, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced Tuesday."After weeks of claiming they did nothing wrong, Gavin Newsom and California have been caught red-handed," Duffy wrote in a statement. "Now that we've exposed their lies, 17,000 illegally issued trucking licenses are being revoked.”
Seventeen thousand. Even with the constant “progressive” excesses we continue to see out of the Newsom administration, and which we saw daily out of Biden’s presidential stint, it’s still a shocking number.
The news becomes more ominous when we remember that there have been at least two deadly crashes in recent months that involved illegal truckers who couldn’t even read the road signs.
And although California would seem to be one of the worst offenders, they’re clearly not alone. According to Newsweek, at least 19 states are all too happy to fork over licenses to drivers who are in this country illegally:
19 states and the District of Columbia permit undocumented immigrants to obtain driver's licenses. These licenses are typically labeled "Not for Federal Purposes" and are not accepted for federal identification or air travel.
Duffy is determined to put an end to it: "This is just the tip of the iceberg. My team will continue to force California to prove they have removed every illegal immigrant from behind the wheel of semitrucks and school buses."
As Newsom presumably preps for what looks to be an all but certain presidential run, always remember: this is just one more terrible instance of the vision he wants to bring to America as a whole. We can't let that happen.
