I’ve been covering the border crisis since I was 12 years old. As a 12 year old living Orange County, CA I got my first job at the Olive Heights Citrus Association and unknown to me the I was in the middle of the Bracero Program. Between the years of 1942 and 1964 an agreement was established between the American and Mexican governments, which brought millions of Mexican laborers to the United States to work, mainly in agriculture.
The Bracero Program and its connections to California’s history was a precursor event to today’s border crisis in that it was a well organized sophisticated process coordinated between the United States and Mexican Governments to bring in Mexican labor. Each year as many as 2 million labors would enter the United States on a seasonal basis then return home.

The Braceros themselves as they assimilated into California became the foundation of today’s Latino community and many of the values, beliefs, and experiences that form California’s Latino culture can be traced to this influential group. My experiences working alongside the Braceros known as the “The Strong Arm” men for three summers gave me a lifetime of experiences that influence me to this very everyday.
ILLEGAL “WEAPONIZED” IMMIGRATION INVASION
Today the border crisis is a weaponized invasion of humans on a scale never before seen in human history involving people from around the world not just Mexico. Like the days of the Bracero Program the United States government is massively involved in making sure the populations of millions illegal immigrants continue with this weaponized invasion.

Governments around the world are grappling for ways to respond to weaponized migration alongside other coercive tools aimed at social and political destabilization, such as cyber attacks and disinformation, which have been refined into a sophisticated military doctrine of “hybrid war”. The weaponized migration if illegal foreign nationals into the United States is being fueled by the U.S. Government’s failure to follow the Constitution specifically Article IV, Section 4, known as the “Guarantee Clause” which states:
Article IV, Section 4:
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.
Its the 2nd clause that is at issue; “and shall protect each of them against Invasion”.
