On October 26, 2023, CHP Delta Ratt executed an Organized Retail Crimes (ORC) search warrant on the 400 block of Berrendo Ln in Stockton. CHP Investigators developed information regarding the residence being used as a “fence” to buy stolen merchandise and resell. Investigators identified a 52 year old Hispanic male believed to reside at the home to have a felony warrant related to retail theft.

Upon executing the warrant, investigators located stolen merchandise from numerous retailers, including TJ Max, Ross, Marshall’s, Dicks Sporting Goods, Kohls and Macy’s, among others. Investigators are working with the retailers to identify and recover the stolen merchandise estimated to have retail value of approximately 1 million dollars.

A collaborative effort between the California Highway Patrol, San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department, Stockton Police Department, Tracy Police Department, Manteca Police Department, San Joaquin County Probation, and the District Attorney’s Investigators made this arrest possible. The primary suspect was arrested with no issues and will be booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on felony charges related to retail theft and grand theft.
