Glenn County Supervisors discuss possibly eliminating electronic voting machines

WILLOWS, Calif. – The Glenn County Supervisors will hear a presentation on voter fraud and possibly consider getting rid of voting machines.

Supervisor Tom Arnold requested this be added to the Aug. 1 agenda. The Glenn County Freedom Coalition will present information regarding the 2022 election.

The presentation will discuss voter fraud, and the elimination of electronic voting machines in Glenn County.

Earlier this year Shasta County Supervisors decided to get rid of Dominion voting machines in favor of a hand count. The Shasta County Clerk said a hand count will require 1,300 workers at a cost of $1.6 million.

Some supervisors have disputed that cost, saying it will be less than that.

State lawmakers are working on an urgency bill to stop counties from hand counting votes.

AB 969 was amended to say hand counts are prohibited in counties with more than 1,000 voters.

The original bill stated a county can only cancel a contract for a voting system if a replacement contract and transition plan are in place.

AB 969 passed the assembly in April. It’s now in the Senate Committee on Appropriations. If passed in both chambers it would take effect immediately
