Sen. Scott Wiener Proposes to Offer ‘Drag Queen 101 as Part of the K-12 Curriculum’
Most parents were horrified seeing children stuffing dollar bills in the G-string panties of the drag queen dancers

California State Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) may have outdone himself this time. Apparently the Senator is not satisfied eroding parental rights with his bill to allow children as young as age 12 to take the COVID-19 vaccine without parental consent. Or his bill relaxing the penalties for having “non-forcible sodomy, oral copulation, and sexual penetration with a minor.” Or his bill to remove the felony penalty for knowingly exposing another person to HIV.
Over the weekend, footage went viral showing children attending a drag show at Mister Misster, a gay bar in Texas, Fox reported. The event, “Drag the kids to pride” was held Saturday afternoon, and was billed as “a family friendly drag show.”
Most parents who saw the video were horrified, and not just at the little children stuffing dollar bills in the G-string panties of the drag queen dancers, but that their parents were with them and obviously thought the whole thing was way cool.
Tongue-in-Cheek?
Wiener retweeted Texas Rep. Bryan Slaton’s post announcing he would be filing legislation to ban children from attending drag shows, after the video footage went viral of children as young as toddlers attending the drag show in a Texas bar.
Sen. Wiener proposed on Twitter “Offering Drag Queen 101 as part of the K-12 curriculum. Attending Drag Queen Story Time will satisfy the requirement.”
Sen. Scott Wiener, who is not a parent, may have a wry sense of humor. But this feels more ironic than funny, given his past legislation – much of which is centered on the LGBTQ community in California.
His bill relaxing sex offender requirements for sodomy with minors, SB 145, actually says in the bill language: “This bill would exempt from mandatory registration under the act a person convicted of certain offenses involving minors if the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor and if that offense is the only one requiring the person to register.” Gov. Gavin Newsom signed SB 145 into law.
Wiener’s bill to remove the felony penalty for knowingly exposing another person to HIV, SB 239 says, “The bill would instead make the intentional transmission of an infectious or communicable disease, as defined, a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment in a county jail for not more than 6 months if certain circumstances apply, including that the defendant knows he or she or a 3rd party is afflicted with the disease.” Gov. Jerry Brown signed SB 239 into law.
As for Sen. Wiener’s Tweet, the winningest response was from Matt Walsh, writer at The Daily Wire and creator of the new movie What Is A Woman: “Yes, Democrats please go with this. Come out fully in support of child drag shows. Shout about it from the rooftops. Let your groomer flag fly. Make sure all the voters know.”
