Joe Biden on Wednesday called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “war criminal” for the first time publicly in an outburst to reporters.

“I think he is a war criminal,” Biden told reporters after delivering remarks at an event celebrating the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act.

U.S. President Joe Biden told reporters on Wednesday (March 16) that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “a war criminal” over his country’s invasion of Ukraine after being asked the question by a Fox New Reporter: “Mr. President are you ready to call Putin a war criminal?” Biden responded “No”. Then walked off with his handlers.

Biden then returned to the to the returned to the reporter and pointed at her and asked if she asked the question “Are the one who…….I think he is a war criminal”.

Chriss Street who withnessed the video earlier in the day was very bothered by the comment and stated “These are very serious accusations toward Putin and might set up the environment for a nuclear exchanged”.
