Explosives being prepared close to damaged rebuilt spillway.

Even with damage that is evident on the Oroville Dam spillway gate leaks, large numbers of plate seam leaks and water porting from the hillside where the rebuilt spillway rests, the California Department of Water Resources is going to use high explosives to improve the hillside.

Below is a series of pictures taken on May, 8, 2019 at the Oroville Dam, where workers can be seen unloading from a truck high explosives and then placing them in holes estimated to be less than 50 yards from the damaged spillway .

There are spillway leaks, there is porting water from the hill side, the gates are broken, massive trucks with full loads moving all over the dam and they are going to blast. Just a few harmonic vibrations to shake an already damaged dam!
