HOUSTON – The New England Patriots overcame the largest deficit that’s ever been overcome at a Super Bowl to beat the Atlanta Falcons in overtime Sunday night.

The Patriots scored 31 points to defeat the Atlanta Falcons34-28 in the first Super Bowl to ever go into overtime.

With just under a minute left, the Patriots tied the game at 28, forcing overtime for the first time in the history of the Super Bowl.

After winning the toss, the Patriots elected to receive, sidelining the NFL regular season MVP Matt Ryan.

It was only a matter of minutes before James White punched into the end zone to cap the comeback.
